I think we should go with formal polls Charles. Search www.google.com
for "online polls" and you will find a number of sites which allow
anyone to set up online polls. I think you will get a lot more
responses where you pose a question and list a number of specific
alternatives. Users on this list will be more willing to click on
a specific alternative rather than make a post just saying "Me too,
I agree with Russ" without adding anything to a discussion.
Specifically Charles I think we should start with poll about our
future directions. I like Erland's of a two part process: getting
what we have now out the door and then a second RFC about header
signing, cancel-locks...
