The body of the message as defined in the message standards includes the
signature. One cannot separate the body of the message from something that
is contained therein. It would be like saying that your hand is not part
of your arm after you've defined arm to mean "everything from the shoulder
to the fingertips."
Either the signature is part of the body or we get someone to rewrite the
NNTP standards.
