Yes. I much rather have my ISP's two relay servers relaying bogus
groups, than dropping articles in perfectly legal groups, because
my news admin has forgotten to update them.

Not very.
Please note that these relay machines cannot induce any harm on their
own, as you cannot inject to them. You are only asking them to cover
up for the errors other servers. But by doing so, you are actually
giving them the chance to err themselves.
