Actually, there are other solutions than law. However, the problem
that is ours to solve is to deal with the issued caused by haphazard
attempts to stop harvesting. In order to stop it, people stopped
putting a real address in the From line. That area -- what you put in
the from line, what it means and whether you can reply to it -- is within
the province of the USENET spec.
