None needed... replaces is not going to be a frequent operation, it need
not be blindly fast.
WRT Xref: you can't expect to use overview for this, only the reader
servers need to have this. And some small reader servers don't even have
that, the overview is (painfully) generated on demand. For a server with
very few reads that works fine.
