Then all existing newsreaders are bad?

Good luck trying to get rid of old copies of Pine, RN, TIN,
Netscape's NNTP clients, Microsoft's NNTP clients.

(Personally, my stance is that if I send out an article with
no MCT, I don't care if I get an email copy. I do think
that is a reasonable opinion, so the new system needs to
accomodate that choice.)

My point is that any wording that automatically labels
all existing implementations "bad" is probably too radical
to be accepted and agreed upon. That is not how standards
typical evolve.
