And a good newsreader will of course let you specify the format
of your blurb, just like it lets you specify the attribution. It will
also insert it into the editing window before you post, so you can
change. (Although, personally, I would prefer to have the possibility
to have the blurb appear in the mail only, in which case it cannot really
appear in the posting window. But that should be configurable.)

John Stanley's argumentation convinces me even more that this header
should be repelled. He wants to insert the information, but he does
not want the receiver to see it - here is something fishy going on.
