I think not. I think you have too many problems defining "true identity",
for one thing. You have a problem trying to convince people that their
email address is their "true identity" when they may have an email address
like "BigRob6735@aol.com", for another.

"Those people have their head in the sand" is no argument for us to
collectively stick our heads in the sand, too.
This is USEFOR. We've changed the definitions of headers before to meet
the needs of news users. It is disengenuous to claim we cannot do so
again.

You are capable of rationalizing a silly definition of "originator" when
the result is something you favor, it seems, but DRUMS for everyone else.
