Ahh... okay, I missed that.
Hm.
I really wonder whether generalizing is a good idea. Were I to invent
something else like Xref, I'd probably say that it should be an
overview-only header like Bytes and not actually be added to the article.
The only reason why Xref has to have the capability of being propagated to
other sites is to support slaving, and I can't think of a similar issue
coming up with another header.
I think Xref is just weird.
