The required functionality was defined and implemented years ago, awaiting
nntpext-base to be published. The LIST XACTIVE NNTP extension already works
for this sort of thing, all that's needed is an extension registry.
It's pretty sad that useful features have been waiting for so long that they
are fading from memory while ths process drags on and on and on to refine
features that aren't necessary or even especially strongly desired.
