Not really. I said it good be a good side effect if authors of combined
news/mail agents would be compelled to not routinely transfer the mail
code to news, and if the rewrite would lead to the mail agents being
changed too.

They are netnews-specific so far that the damage is bigger in news than
in mail.

Because my profession is to be employ my skills with MS SQL Server,
and hanging out here is some sort of hobby activity, to keep a check
that things are bad from the perspective of Swedish news users
slips into a news RFC.

My time for fighting IETF windmills in general is, to make an understatement,
limited.
