"For whatever reason" still carries an attitude of "you really shouldn't
to this" against those who munge their addresses. And while I agree with
the sentiment, I don't think it belongs in a technical standard.

Nevertheless, while completely redundant, "for whatever reason" is far
better than "for personal reasons", and I have no problem to accept it.
