Not a huge majority, but the fact that the status quo (i.e. the draft as
it currently stands) had mvgroup in it must also count on the side of
the YESes.
There were a few 'write-in' comments which we can bear in mind when we
discuss the details:
YES. However, is there any reason that we can't have a fairly minimal
mvgroup in the draft and an experimental RFC to beef it up?
Please split. SHOULD redirect new incoming articles, MAY move
old articles, please.
YES. The simplified proposal doesn't seem that big a deal, and it adds
a fair amount to hierarchy management.
Regarding the delayed Rmgroup (MAY or SHOULD)
MAY or SHOULD NOT; hierarchy admins should send rmgroups as usual.
SHOULD
Curt convinced me it should be MAY. (i.e., MAY be delayed; SHOULD, if
followed, remove the previous group).
I am away all of next week. I shall prepare a draft incorporating the
changes when I return. In the meantime, I suggest you continue to toss
around ideas on the best way to formulate the cancel command.
