My impression is that Microsoft are very serious about Unicode. There
is a Chris, whose last name escapes me, on the Unicode mailing list, who
is project manager or something like that for Office. That seems to
be a good person to approach in one way or another. The Unicode list can
be noisy at times, but it may be gentler to bring up the thing there
than just mailing him directly. Hm, was Prately his last name?
Theoretically, I could bring it up in some suitable private MVP group,
but as my MVP reward is for SQL Server, and I know very little about
Outlook Express and Internet Explorer, I very much rather not.
Besides, IE 6.0 was released recently, so in any case, proper testing
should be made with this version of Outlook Express, before anything
else is attempted.
Oh, there is maybe one thing we should not forget: no matter the MSOE
version, I would expect there to be a difference between NT/2000 on
one hand, and Win95/98/ME on the other, as the latter does not support
Unicode as I understand.
