It is already solved for email with RFC 2047 for text fields, with RFC
2231 for MIME parameters and with IDNs for the domain part of email
addresses. It's not an elegant solution, but it's fully backwards-
compatible (unlike the solution in the current USEFOR draft).
What's missing is the local-part of email addresses and - for NetNews -
the newsgroup names. However, as I pointed out in
<mid:8U06P1f3cDB@3247.org>, the solution is quite straigthforward.
