You hope. What if the names differ only in non-ASCII characters?
To get an idea of the problems here, I tried removing all the vowels from
our active file. There are a lot of clashes; for example, "soc" and "sci"
become indistinguishable. The same will happen when non-ASCII characters
become usual.
