can't have the encoded-word on the first line as that would result
in a line longer than the maximum 76 octets permitted by RFC 2047
section 2. The encoded word cannot be split; it has only one character
of encoded-text. Since the field body content is a mailbox-list, even
putting a comment on the first line runs afoul of the strong
recommendation in RFC 2822 section 3.4 against comments in address
fields.
