It would help if you could arrange to format your lines within, say, 72
characters.
The mention of sendmail in that message related to forwarding through
existing gateways, which we have already discussed extensively. You are,
as usual, confusing backwards compatibility (which our draft provides)
with forwards compatibility (which it does not).
As you say, IMAP was not mentioned in that message.
