I think the point is that, since the publication of RFC 2822, it is
incumbent on software to parse those cases correctly, however difficult
it might be (and I cannot imagine it is really that hard).
The more interesting question is how soon it will become safe for people
to use it routinely. That might well be quite some time. There is no
particular hurry, but it is important that the process gets started.
Anyway, as a matter of curiosity, I shall in a moment send a test message
to this list, and also a post to misc.test (if my system will let me).
PLease could people respond with what they see.
