"a" exported ABC.test to B.other in the other net, Then "b"
reimported B.other to B.local on server B. C doesn't get the
article in ABC.test. The "and" in your statement (see above)
is important.
What "b" could do is to create a new Message-ID, quite the
opposite of your idea to preserve Message-IDs in the body.

Not in the former German "gateways" and "gatebau" groups, all
GiGo users were legend, and dead gateway admins don't post :-)
