Good, if there is no clear trend, but most still agree
with "anything is better than nothing" we could flip a
coin.  

With two "candidates" (1 = Russ', 2 = your version) and
the NomCom 2008 entropy sources you'd get either 1 or 2.

Fortunately there is no time to revisit old rat-holes,
otherwise I'd wonder why Russ wrote that a Message-ID
is "more unique" when extended by a timestamp.
