Agreed. I have no huge urge to change it. The only possible change wouold
be to decree that, contrary to RFC 5322, the final line of the <body> MUST
be terminated with a CRLF. That indeed seems to be the universal current
practice.
Interestingly, the UNIX wc command returns does not regard a final
unterminated line as countable (and Cnews at least uses wc).
