It is not expected that you will include the DTD with your xCard. In fact,
as you point out, it would be kinda silly to do so. Thus, the xCards we
expect to see will be well-formed but not valid. As to your second point, I
don't understand why having a standard DTD would make it hard to move
xCards around. Just the opposite: having a single way to describe people in
XML would make such objects very portable! Am I missing something in your
comments?
