As an extra twist on this, may I recommend that any rfc  make it clear that 
when talking about XML infosets, we only mean "XML Infosets that can be 
serialized into XML documents."

This is because "XML infoset" unfortunately seem to have a life of its
own, often being something more like the "DOM infoset".  This gives
the potential for a mismatch.
