folks should feel free to continue to comment as they see fit.

however, the authors have repeatedly extended deadlines for folks to
comment. the majority of comments over the last month or so have been
"interesting" but not "helpful"...

accordingly, the authors will feel free to continue to move forward,
irrespective of that...
