Announcement of MailConnect 3

Greetings again. As more and more IMAP clients and servers come into the
market, the need for interoperability testing of these products continues
to increase. In light of this, IMC will hold its MailConnect  3 event on
October 30 and 31, 1997. Unlike earlier events, MailConnect 3 will have a
single focus, namely IMAP 4.

At the end of MailConnect 2, there was a request for more emphasis in the
testing to be placed on disconnected operation. This feature is one of the
main things that the press has been emphasizing in their coverage of IMAP,
and still appears to be a bit problematic. Of course, all parts of the IMAP
protocol will still be tested during the two-day event.
