I assume that "0x791740436" is a typo, as Jonah error codes are 32-bit numbers. Can you verify the code? This error is displayed at the RA, immediately you press Validate or Approve, right? Have you configured the RA's IniFile correctly so that it knows where the CA is? But if you get the error from just hitting Validate, it probably isn't anything to do with transport, as Validate just checks the certificate against the CertPolicy section of the RA's IniFile. I'm suprised you had more problems with VC5 than VC6 - we build here using VC5 (which is why we didn't notice the regression in the latest drop that prevented it building as delivered under VC6). What sort of errors were you seeing under VC5? John Bob Masters <rmasters@xxxxxxx>@imc.org on 05/11/99 04:01:51 PM Sent by: owner-imc-pfl@xxxxxxx To: imc-pfl@xxxxxxx cc: Subject: Validation/Approval Error I built and installed Jonah on Windows NT, Service Pack 5 (using Visual C++ 6.0, since VC++ 5.0, service pack 3 produced too many compiler errors). The three GUIs now come up fine. I am able to pre-register a user with the RA application, then request a certificate with the EE application. However, when I select the request and click on Validate or Approve at the RA GUI, I get an unknown error: 0x791740436. Any helpful hints as to what's wrong?
