'Upload' question.

Dear vCalendar/vCard Buddies,

We are developing a server application that will input
and output vCalendar/vCard streams.

Is there an established or prescribed method/convention for 
uploading vCard/vTodo/vEvent data to a server from an HTML
client?   I've considered prompting the user for the URL
of a file that contains the data, but that would require that
the data be prepublished on the web.

Any ideas?
