... yes, I've registered a vCard file creator signature with Apple.

   It is 'vCrd' ... it cannot be all CAPS since Apple reserves that
   usage for itself.  Note that the file TYPE is 'TEXT', it is the
   creator that matters and that is 'vCrd' ... Gav
