exactly. One great reason to store information in a format like XML as meta-data, and let the system pull it out and display it in a native format, rather than embed headers in things and assume everyone can read it in whatever format it was sent as. <subject>foo</subject> means something very different than 'Subject: foo' here, and is a lot more extensible and localizable.
