Personally and on behalf of the IMC, I'd like to thank the
attendees to yesterday's workshop. We had nearly 70 folks there and while
some primarily sat quietly and absorbed the day's activities, most were
active over the course of the discussions. I would especially like to
thank everyone for the professional tone and constructive content of the
day. It could easily have devolved into nasty bickering or basic tutorial;
neither happened. Instead, folks worked hard at understanding and
suggesting. Dialogue was the goal of the day and I think we all feel that
it was remarkably well achieved.
I'll be synthesizing notes for the meeting and posting them to this
list as soon as I can. I'd guess middle of next week (maybe beginning).
In the interim, I'm going to post a series of notes about the rough
consensus views that were expressed, to permit follow-on discussion.
