    The vast majority of people that have mail-only access to the
Internet are doing so through LAN-based (or BBS-based) products
through gateways, and the vast majority of people that have POP
access actually have full Internet access (including the web).
All estimates I've seen indicate that the number of people with
just mail access is about ten times the the number of people with
full access.

    Now you know where they're getting their numbers.
